  • Developed and delivered a training program (remotely and face-to-face) for the Canadian Lung Association’s Helpline staff for a national 3 Week Cough (2011) awareness campaign. Coordinated the development of helpline messaging and support materials in consultation with the national medical advisory, national promotions staff, and project coordinator. Ensured standard messaging delivery through multiple Helpline centres through staff training program and online assists to improve consumer education and engagement.


  • Researched and developed key messages and a communications plan for a Pneumonia Awareness (2013) campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society of PEI.


  • Communications Planning for the Island Network for Injury Prevention – working with the Creating a Culture of Safety Project developed an advocacy-based communications strategy for reducing injuries related to falls among young children and seniors.


  • World COPD Day – Canadian Lung Association – coordinated the construction, administration, interpretation, marketing and reporting of a national survey.  Facilitated meetings of a national group of experts in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) management and education.  Working with a national survey company (Leger Marketing) developed a national survey.  Working with a national marketing firm (Fleishman Hillard) developed a national marketing plan and supporting documents (English & French).  Working with Lung Associations across Canada, implemented the marketing plan.  Created a final report on the process and outcomes of the project.  Outcomes can be viewed at www.lung.ca and searching World COPD for Women and COPD Report and Smoking and COPD Report.


  • Marketing plan and support materials production for the Health Charities Network on Access to Medications and Chronic Disease Management on PEI.
